EVERTON manager David Moyes has landed a new job – as a World Cup pundit for radio broadcasters talkSPORT.

The 63-year-old, now in his second spell as Blues boss, after steering the club to nine top-eight finishes, including their highest-ever Premier League position of fourth in his first tenure, is one of only three managers to have accumulated over a thousand points in the competition, after multiple title winners Sir Alex Ferguson of Manchester United and Arsene Wenger of Arsenal.

TalkSPORT made the announcement on Thursday morning with a statement that read: “David Moyes joins talkSPORT for the World Cup!


“The current Everton boss has had a legendary managerial career spanning 28 years… now the proud Scotsman will be joining the team for our 2026 World Cup coverage. Welcome to the line-up, David.”


As well as snapping up the Premier League’s elder statesman in Moyes, talkSPORT have also hired the division’s youngest manager in Fabian Hurzeler of Brighton & Hove Albion, with the German his junior by almost 30 years

They’ll be joined by recently retired England defender Kyle Walker who represented his country across five major tournaments, and France World Cup winner Emmanuel Petit.


In addition, the talkSPORT roster includes former Netherlands striker and Gareth Southgate’s assistant coach with England Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink; former Liverpool and USA goalkeeper Brad Friedel, officiating expert Christina Unkel and rapper AJ Tracey.


Moyes’ Scotland have qualified for the World Cup finals for the first time since 1998.


The Glaswegian gaffer has taken Everton to the USA for pre-season on seven separate occasions (2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2025) and his national team face Haiti and Morocco in Boston before travelling to Miami to take on Brazil in their final group game.
